Christopher is the Lead Counsel at Penerley. He specialises in all areas of the firm’s practice, with an emphasis on housing, contracts, regulatory & compliance, and GDPR. Chris is both a New York Attorney and an English Lawyer. He has an international practice with clients from various regions of the world.
Chris previously worked for several firms and organisations in the City of London. Having worked as a lawyer at a law firm in the City of London for several years, Chris became the Legal and Policy Adviser to the Chairman of the Bar Standards Board (BSB) who was also the former British High Commissioner to Canada. While at the BSB Chris worked alongside the Chairman in the development of regulatory policies for the regulation of barristers in England and Wales.
With over a decade-long experience in the legal industry, Chris has deep legal knowledge combined with the tenacity and drive to get results for his clients. Indeed, he has experience of advising at all levels, from small matters to complex legal issues. He has worked with both private and public clients from varied industries and sectors. Some of his clients include tech startups, financial institutions, and property companies. He has also recently advised a government department in Africa.
